Back in April, a few days before we brought Kenzie home as our puppy, she made the flight from her breeder's in the South, all the way to Designer Doggies in Petaluma, Calif. There, she underwent a serious puppy photo shoot, complete with lots of props! I thought I'd share some of those pictures now; Ryan and I definitely see how her personality was shining through at a very young age. :) All photos are credited to www.designerdoggies.com.
By the way, if you're ever looking for a Puggle or other mix (esp. if you're on the West Coast — they're hard to find), Chelle at Designer Doggies does a GREAT job with the puppies and is very helpful with the entire process of choosing a puppy and knowing everything you need to know as "first-time parents." :)

Climbing Calabasas Peak
Kenzie slept very soundly last night, after an exhausting afternoon that included a two-hour hike at Calabasas Peak. The views were amazing, but as it turns out, Kenzie couldn't really appreciate the scenery because she was too busy scoping out shady spots to rest! (I think she found them all...) It was great being able to get out and explore and see some of the beauty of California that is so close to LA but that we don't often get to experience.

Now that Kenzie's over 6 months old (and weighing in at about 15 lbs.), I thought it was time for a look back at the "tiny girl" we chose from the Designer Doggies website 2-3 weeks before we went to get her! On the left: little Kenzie, still at the breeder's, at 6 to 7 weeks old. On the right: Our beautiful puppy now. :)
